Miller, Aden J.
February 27, 1944 - January 20, 2025
Aden J. Miller was born to Jonas E. and Amanda (Weaver) Miller on February 27, 1944, in Millersburg Ohio. After a period of declining health, he peacefully passed away on January 20, 2025 at the Holmes County Home, reaching the age of 80 years.
He grew up in Benton, Ohio getting his formal education at Berlin Public School. He married Barbara E. Hershberger on April 11,1964. To this union were born 5 children.
Dad spent most of his life in the cabinet business, measuring and selling cabinets for Schrocks of Walnut Creek and then later at Lumberjacks in Cuyahoga Falls.
He is survived by his children: Victor, Elkton VA (Patsy) Surprise, AZ; Sharon (Bert) Lehman, Orrville, OH; Philip (Deb), Jeromesville, OH; Devonn (Anna) Brooksville, MS; and Sheldon (Joannie) Wooster, OH. The children's mother Barbara Miller, Orrville, OH; 24 grandchildren; and 33 great grandchildren.
Siblings: Betty (James) Hershberger, Stuarts Draft VA; Marvin (Janice) Millersburg, OH; Katy (Roy) Yoder, Millersburg, OH; Ervin (Erma) New Holland PA; Frieda (Dan) Mast Millersburg, OH; foster sister Mary Jo (Mark) Collins, Ridgeway SC.
Calling hours will be Friday, January 24, 2025 from 2-4:00 pm and 6-8:00 pm at Rock of Ages Church. Funeral service will be held Saturday. January 25, 2025 10:30 am at Rock of Ages Church.

Miller, Arlene Clara Sonifrank
June 24, 1936 - January 1, 2025
Arlene Clara Miller, 88, of Fulks Run, VA passed away January 1, 2025 at her residence.
She was born June 24, 1936 in Criders, VA to the late George and Clara Crider Sonifrank.
Arlene had worked in the cafeteria at Fulks Run Elementary School. She was a member of Hebron Mennonite Church in Fulks Run.
On October 16, 1957 she married Robert “Bob” Miller, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Sharon Bear and husband Donnie of Timberville, Ellen McPherson and husband Francis of Timberville, Donna Ott and husband Jeremy of Fulks Run; one brother, David Sonifrank of Singers Glen; two sisters, Lillie Lahman and Janet Thompson, both of Harrisonburg; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
Arlene was preceded in death by eight siblings, Beulah Estep, Clifton Sonifrank, Oma Sonifrank, Nolan Sonifrank, Linden Sonifrank, Loretta Horst, Nona Kulp, and Carolyn Sonifrank.
Pastors Lane Turner and Mark Conley will conduct a graveside service 3:00 PM Saturday at Mtn. Grove Cemetery in Fulks Run.
Friends may view and sign the guestbook from 10 AM – 7 PM Friday (today), and 9 AM – 12 PM Saturday at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.

Miller, Clarence E.
August 11, 1945 - January 4, 2025
Clarence E. Miller, 79, of LaGrange (district: 16), died on Saturday, January 4, [2025] at his residence unexpectedly. He was born on August 11, 1945, in LaGrange, to Ervin A. and Annie (Miller) Miller. On October 21, 1965, in LaGrange, he married Ella Miller, Ella died April 10, 1978. On March 20, 1979, in Shipshewana, he married Anna Marie Beechy, Anna died November 6, 2024.
Surviving are two sons, Floyd (Inez) Miller of Ligonier, Harley (Marsha) Miller of Topeka; three step-daughters, Esther (Chris) Bontrager of Ligonier, Lou Ida (Jonathan) Miller of Wolcottville, Irene (Joseph) Bontrager of LaGrange; 15 grandchildren; 23 step-grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Orva Miller of NY, Perry (Wilma) Miller of LaGrange, Leroy (Ada Mae) Miller of Dalton, WI; two sisters, Katie (Floyd) Miller of LaGrange, Erma (Freeman) Miller of Pardeeville, WI; two brothers-in-law, Eli (Ruby) Schrock of LaGrange, Dannie Miller of Lengby, MN.
He was preceded in death by his two wives; parents; four sisters, Mary Schrock, Lydia Mae Petersheim, Fannie Miller, LeAnna Miller; one step great-grandson.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Monday, January 6, and all-day Tuesday, January 7, at the Christy Miller residence: 3885 S 125 W, LaGrange. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Wednesday, January 8, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop David Bontrager and the home ministers. Burial will be in Sandhill Cemetery, LaGrange. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Miller, Juanita Sue Bontrager
March 8, 1979 - January 1, 2025
Juanita Sue Miller, 45, of Wolcottville, (district: 23-4), died at 1:17 am on Wednesday, January 1, [2025] at Parkview LaGrange Hospital, after a battle with cancer. She was born on March 8, 1979, in LaGrange, to Daniel Jay and Frieda (Mast) Bontrager. On April 29, 1999, in Rome City, she married Dale Miller, he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are eight children, Jason Miller (special friend, Deborah Mast), Dannie Miller (special friend, LeAnna Bontrager), Aaron Miller (special friend, Kaylene Yoder), Kyle Miller (special friend, Jennifer Miller), Kara Miller (special friend, Orla Troyer), Keith Miller, Lisa Miller, and Luke Miller all at home; three sisters, Linda (Omer) Miller of Rome City, Marilyn (Wayne) Nisley of Millersburg, Jolene (Myron) Miller of Wawaka; brother, Duane Bontrager of Kendallville; brother-in-law, Jay (Charlene) Yoder of Wolcottville.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Kristina Yoder; and grandparents, Joe and Ida Mae Bontrager, Perry and Juanita Mast.
Juanita was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 2 and all-day Friday, January 3 at the family's residence, 5305 E. 525 S., Wolcottville. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Saturday, January 4 also at the family's residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Levi W. Bontrager and the home ministers. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, LaGrange.
Miller, Mary Slabach
February 27, 1938 - January 24, 2025
Mary Miller, 86, of Topeka, (district: 32), died at 8:43 pm, on Friday, January 24, 2025 at her residence. She was born on February 27, 1938, in LaGrange County, to Ervin and Naomah (Miller) Slabach. On March 23, 1961 she married LeRoy P. Miller, he died March 6, 2023.
Surviving are three sons, Mervin (Kathern) Miller of Shipshewana, Vernon (Betty) Miller of Goshen, Richard (Waneta) Miller of Topeka; four daughters, Naomah (Omer) Miller of Topeka, IN, Clara (Dennis) Yoder of Middlebury, Lena (Wayne) Fry of Topeka, Joan (Larry) Hershberger of Topeka; son-in-law, Christy Jr. (Sara) Miller of Goshen; 46 grandchildren, 94 great-grandchildren; three sisters, her twin, Martha Raber of Shipshewana, Katie Alice Miller of Topeka, Lena (Howard) Stutzman of Middlebury; brother, Freeman (Edna) Slabach of Shipshewana; two sisters-in-law, Suzanna Slabach of FL, LaVerda Miller of Shipshewana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Martha Miller; great-grandson, Jordan Dale Lambright, and two brothers, Glen and Ervin Slabach, Jr.
She was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 25, all day Sunday, January 26, at Omer Miller residence, 4940 S. 675 W., Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Monday, January 27, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Harley Fry and the home ministers. Burial will be in Meadowview Cemetery, Topeka.
Musser, Margaret S. Metzler
April 30, 1938 - January 24, 2025
Margaret S. Metzler Musser, 86, of Bethel, PA , loving wife of Paul G Musser passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospital on Friday, January 24, 2025. They were looking forward to celebrating 61 years of marriage on March 28th.
Born in Lancaster, PA on April 30, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Abram L. and Jennie E. Snavely Metzler.
She was a member of Shirksville Mennonite Church. She will be remembered for her love for the Lord, her family and friends. She immensely enjoyed gathering together her family or friends and showering them with her love and care. She loved to go to a party or simply share a cup of coffee together. She held a very special spot in the hearts of each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also known by the children at church as the ‘Candy Lady’ for many years. To have known Marge, is to have known a very loving woman.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children: Dennis (Lora) Musser of Landingville, Karen (David) Kreider of Newmanstown, Terry (Loretta) Musser of Salem, Ohio, Kathy (Roland) Good of New Hamburg, Ontario and Krista (Kirby) Martin of York Springs. 21 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons.
Sisters: Janet (Melvin) Diem of Shippensburg, Anna Mae (Nelson) Martin of Litiz, Rachel (Michael) Schwartz of Reading, and Jane (Donald) Valentine of Orrtanna.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Fairview Reception Center 141 Jackson Rd. Lebanon, PA 17042. Viewing will be on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm at Fairview Reception Center. Interment will follow the service at Shirksville Mennonite Church, 605 Shirksville Rd. Lebanon.
Myers, Leona Rhodes
October 19, 1933 - January 17, 2025
Leona Myers, 91, of Rockingham, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Sentara RMH Medical Center.
Leona was born on October 19, 1933, the daughter of the late Jesse Reuben Rhodes and Arbelia Roberta (Hildebrand) Rhodes.
She was united in marriage on June 28, 1951, to Richard W. Myers for 73+ years, who survives. Leona owned Myers Beauty Salon and worked for 60+ years before retiring. She was an active member of Dayton Church of the Brethren.
Leona is also survived by children, Bob Myers, Cheryl (Mick) Gilliam; brother, Jay Rhodes; sister, Shirley Driver; grandchildren, Adam (Amanda) Myers, Evan (Katie) Myers, Sherry (James) Painter; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven siblings and daughter-in-law, Jane Myers.
A service celebrating Leona's life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Dayton Church of the Brethren with Pastor Kevin Daggett officiating. Burial will be private.
